On October 17-19 the Second International Congress on Armenian Studies «Armenian Studies and the Challenges of Modern Times» took place in the National Academy of Sciences of RA. During the congress the reports were delivered on Armenian church and Armenian Studies. Hrachik Mirzoyan, Reverend Father Ararat Poghosyan, Avetis Kalashyan, Sofya Ohanyan, Gayane Poghosyan and others delivered their reports. Most of the reports were on the problems of the history of Armenian church, the appreciation of the role of the Armenian Church by David Ananun, spiritual reconsideration of anatomic notions in the Armenian Medieval exegetic  literature, Armenology at the Gevorkyan Theological Seminary, Zaqaria Aguletsi’s Diary.
